CLIENTS RIGHTS

As a client of AIDS Project Worcester, you have the following rights:

  • The right to quality service without discrimination to race, color, religion, gender, national origin, economic status, or sexual orientation

 

  • The right to receive considerate, dignified and respectful care and treatment regardless of your physical or emotional condition

 

  • The right to be informed of what services APW provides, the method for obtaining these services, and the reason why a service is not being provided

 

  • A response in a reasonable manner to your request(s) for services provided by APW

 

  • The right to no-cost interpreter service

 

  • The right to access services while under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs. Client must be able to participate and
    engage in services and behavior must remain appropriate and non-disruptive

 

  • The right to terminate your involvement with the agency

 

  • The right to expect that APW will maintain the confidentiality of charts and records pertaining to the service received, except as otherwise provided by law. Such exception shall require you or your designee to sign a release of information form. This does not apply to statistical data. Confidentiality may be breached if the client is presenting self as truly harmful to self or others.

 

  • The right to request to review your chart at a mutually agreed upon time with your lead person
